Arizona State University® Banking Update

As of December 31, 2022, MidFirst Bank will no longer be offering new Arizona State University accounts and cards. Rest assured, your existing MidFirst ASU®-branded accounts and cards (including the MidFirst ASU Pitchfork ID Card) will continue to work as they do today, and you will continue to enjoy the wide range of features and benefits that come with your MidFirst accounts.

If you previously accessed your online banking at asu.midfirst.com, you will now access your online banking from this main midfirst.com website (using your same User ID and Password).

What does this change mean for you?

Your MidFirst Bank debit card, credit card, and student ID card will continue working as usual. Additionally, the MidFirst ASU Pitchfork ID Card will continue to work for both bank and University needs/functions (e.g., door access, meal plans, etc.). Your checking account number will also remain the same.

Is any action required?

No action is required. You may continue to use your MidFirst Bank accounts and cards without disruption.

As a reminder, MidFirst Bank debit cards are the fastest and most convenient way to access funds in your checking account.

Additionally, students will still continue to receive free nationwide ATM access with their MidFirst ATM debit card.

What is changing?

Checking and Savings Accounts – the "Sun Devil®" name will be removed from your account name; for example, students will see the name of their account change from "Sun Devil Checking" to "Student Checking."

Debit Cards – no changes to your debit card and you can continue to use your ASU-branded debit card. If you do lose your card, you will be reissued a standard MidFirst debit card.

Pitchfork ID Card – no changes to your Pitchfork ID Card and you can continue to use your Pitchfork for both banking and university needs. If you do lose your Pitchfork ID Card, you will be reissued a standard MidFirst debit card and will need to get an ASU-issued Sun Card for your University needs/functions.

Credit Cards – no changes to your credit card and you can continue to use your ASU-branded credit card. If you do lose your card, you will be reissued a standard MidFirst credit card.
